Getting a job offer in the Miami area right around Doral. Learn me your city and surrounding area. I will be moving there from the DC metro. (mustang for your troubles)
I am looking at housing prices and locations currently. Anything I should know about the move?
I know it is going to be extremely different from the suburbs where I live now. I am used to a multicultural demographic.
How is homestead raceway?

Got to love Miami. It's a different country. Just keep in mind once you are south of west palm that traffic becomes a free-for-all.
If you can swing it, Midtown or Brickell are where it's at for the younger crowd and the commute should be easy to Doral.

This was about 5 years ago so take it with a grain of salt, but I spent a week at Doral... and aside from the awesome golfing there is NOTHING to do near Doral. It's all warehouses and shipping companies. We had to go a fairly substantial distance just to find a neighborhood bar that didn't seem incredibly shady. That's just my two cents.

You survived DC traffic, Miami won't be too bad.
Interesting place, I've only been in the South Beach area. Great beaches, awesome scenery. Some great high end cars along there. Beyond that, no clue! haha

Right the office is located in Doral. But I was looking to the east for my housing needs. I am sure it is still the same. Doesnt seem like a large city. My commute now is 30 miles. So anything inside that bubble will be fine and from the looks of it. It is all condos and single familys.
